Quick resolution LOUIS, JOE-PRIMO CARNERA PRESS PASS (1935)

On June 25, 1935 at Yankee Stadium in New York undefeated heavyweight and rising star Joe Louis fought former champion Primo Carnera in the main event. In a very one sided affair Louis pounded Carnera and stopped him for good in the 6th round. Carnera visited the canvas three times before becoming "utterly helpless, clinging to the top rope" when the bout was stopped (The New York Times). Offered here is a very rare, original Press Pass for this event which was used to gain admittance to the arena.
This is an original Press Pass which names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Name of Harry Markson written at top. Not creased. Includes original wrist string. Minor edge wear. Clean front and back. Irregularly shaped to 2 3/4" x 3 1/4."
