Antonio Gomez was born in Venezuela on September 7, 1945. He fought professionally as a featherweight between 1967 and 1975 amassing a final mark of 43-7-2. Gomez was a raising star in the late 60's and defeated notables including Antonio Cervantes. On September 2, 1971 Gomez knocked out Shozo Saijo in the 5th round to win the world featherweight title. He held it for two years. Offered here is an original souvenir pennant of Antonio Gomez which was issued while he was world champion in the early 1970's.
