On August 18, 1936 at Yankee Stadium rising heavyweight star Joe Louis met former world heavyweight champion Jack Sharkey in the main event. Louis dominated from the opening bell and knocked Sharkey out in the 3rd round. Offered here is a rare, original, Working Press Pass for the event which was used to gain admittance to the arena.
This is an original Working Press Pass which names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Bold color and print. Name of Harry Markson written on reverse. Clean front and back. Includes original wrist string. Not creased but has mild compressions from handling. Minor edge wear. Irregularly shaped to 3" x 3 3/8."
